Accommodation ratings displayed may be official Tourist Board ratings or Tour Operator's own ratings and there may be a difference between the two. In addition, ratings can differ from Operator to Operator. Tour Operators often use letters or keys for the accommodation ratings eg 3A or 4T. These are uniform throughout their brochure but are not necessarily the official rating of the country of destination nor are they to be compared with ratings within the UK.
To assist, we list some commonly used abbreviations:
The standard international practice is to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check-in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night's accommodation. Similarly, if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12noon prior to leaving for the airport. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.
If you book a "late" holiday (which can be anything up to 17 weeks before departure) and your accommodation is "allocated on arrival", you will not be able to specify any special requests and therefore if any of your party have special needs, medical requests, disabilities etc., we would recommend that you book named accommodation to ensure that the property is suitable for your requirements.
Some long haul "late" deals only include one night's accommodation. This is not necessarily the first night and can be for any night within the duration of the holiday. You are advised to treat these deals the same as a Flight only.
The luggage allowance on "late" deals is often only 15kg and excess baggage charges can be incurred if this weight is exceeded. Some Operators will increase this to 20kg if pre-paid at the time of booking. It is your responsibility to check the relevant allowance on your booking.
Transfers and/or Flight Meals can incur an extra charge
Within 3 weeks of departure, Operators will apply a charge for collection of tickets at the airport,
Please note that all these charges vary from Operator to Operator.
All passengers must be in possession of valid passports and most destinations require passports to be valid for at least 6 months after your return date. Everyone over the age of 16 must have their own passport.
It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party have valid passports and visas for your destination.
For further information, contact the Passport Office on 0870 5210410 or visit www.passport.gov.uk
Neither Voyager Travel Direct nor the Principal, accept any responsibility if you are unable to travel or are refused entry, due to failure to comply with any passport, visa or immigration requirements of your destination. In cases of passengers being refused entry by any immigration or other authority, all repatriation costs are to be borne by the passenger

Special conditions apply for travel to the USA and all passengers must have individual machine readable passports. Please check usembassy.org.uk
NOTE: The Indian Authorities do not allow Indian Passport holders to travel on charter flights to Goa and India
Please note that for all air travel within the British Isles, airlines will require photographic identification. This is usually in the form of a passport or driving licence (photocard type) but please ensure that you check the specific requirements of the airline.
Booking details
When making a booking, it is important that you check that all passenger names, dates and timings are correct before confirming. Please pay particular attention to the spelling of names, as it is essential that all names correspond exactly to the relevant passenger's passport. Failure to comply with this could result in passengers being denied boarding at check-in.
Further, upon receipt of your confirmation email, please check all details again and advise us immediately of any errors.
Any changes made after the booking is confirmed, will incur charges from the Principal. These will vary depending upon the Principal involved and in addition, Voyager Travel Direct will make an administration charge. (up to a maximum of £30 per person).
It is the responsibility of the lead passenger to disclose facts about any passengers that may affect their ability to travel.
Particular regard should be paid to the following:
a) Criminal offences (USA visitors - anyone travelling to the USA who has any criminal record, including driving offences, must declare them at the time of booking)
b) Anyone who has previously been deported from the country/countries you are intending to visit.
If you have special needs, medical requests or need assistance to travel, please contact us before confirming your reservation to ensure that these requirements can be met. We would strongly advise against booking a "late" deal where the accommodation is "allocated on arrival" and in addition, it is not possible to make specific airline requests.
Should you require any special requests, eg low floor, high floor, double bed, adjoining rooms etc., we recommend that you book by telephone so that a suitable property can be found for you. However we would stress that these special requests are only requests and are not guaranteed.
All flight times quoted are provisional and subject to change as per the Carrier's Terms and Conditions. All times are based on the 24 hour clock (i.e. 00.01 to 11.59 is am (morning) and 12.01 to 23.59 is pm (afternoon/evening) and local times are quoted throughout. Many airlines require reconfirmation of travel arrangements, outbound and inbound, 48 hours before departure.
All travel documents will be sent to you by First Class post and are normally dispatched within fourteen days of travel. Once the documents leave our premises, we will not be responsible for their loss unless such loss is due to our negligence. If tickets or other documents need to be re-issued, any costs incurred must be paid by you. You can ask for delivery by other means, subject to the charges below. If travel documents are not received within seven days of departure, please contact our Customer Service Centre on 0871 200 2201 or email csc@voyagertraveldirect.co.uk
For late bookings, a ticket on departure will be arranged and the tickets will be available for collection at the airport.
The luggage allowance for Tour Operators and Airlines can vary and it is your responsibility to check the amount allowed, before travelling. In some instances, it is possible to pre-pay to increase the amount of luggage allowance.
PLEASE NOTE: All holidays and flights on this website depart from airports within the UK and Eire.
A minimum deposit of £150 per person is required at the time of booking unless departure is within 14 weeks, whereupon payment in full is required. Where you only pay a deposit, you must pay the full balance to Voyager Travel Direct by the balance due date notified to you. If full payment is not received by the balance due date, we will notify the Principal who may cancel your booking and charge the cancellation fees set out in their terms and conditions. In addition we reserve the right to charge an administration fee of £15 per person for late payment.
A handling charge of 2% will be made on credit card payments with the exception of American Express where the handling charge is 3.5%. No charge is made for payments by debit card (Maestro. Visa Delta etc.) We regret we are unable to accept payment by International Maestro cards.
Amendment to Bookings
Each Tour Operator, Airline, Accommodation Supplier reserve the right to change holiday details and/or flight details as per their booking terms and conditions. We undertake to advise you of any changes as soon as we are made aware of them.
If you need to make any changes to your reservation, you should contact our Customer Service Centre on 0872 200 2201 or email csc@voyagertraveldirect.co.uk. After confirmation of your original reservation, any changes will incur charges as per the Principal's Terms and Conditions, in addition to which, Voyager Travel Direct will impose amendment fees up to a maximum of £30 per person.
Please note that flights with schedule, charter and low cost carriers have restrictions in place at the time of booking and we are governed by these rules and charges. Generally they do not allow any changes and therefore should you need to change any detail, this could result in full cancellation of the original reservation without refund and purchasing of a new ticket, possibly at a higher cost.
Likewise, should you misplace your tickets, new tickets would have to be purchased at the current price, with no refund of the original ticket price.
Please see the individual Terms and Conditions of the Carrier.
Should you find it necessary to cancel your reservation, the lead passenger on the booking must instruct us immediately in writing either by letter to
Customer Service Centre,

Verbal cancellation is not acceptable.
If you cancel you will be liable for cancellation charges in accordance with the Principal's terms and booking conditions which govern the contract. These can range from loss of deposit to 100% dependent upon when cancellation takes place. In addition, Voyager Travel Direct will make an administration charge up to an amount of £30 per person.
In the case of low cost airlines, cancellation is always at the full cost.
If cancellation is covered by your Travel Insurance you may be able to recover some or all of the charges.
When travelling abroad, you are advised to ensure that you have adequate Travel Insurance. It is a condition of booking with the majority of Operators and Airlines that you have Travel Insurance and it is possible that you can be denied travel, if proof of cover cannot be provided. Travel Insurance can be purchased at the time of booking. If you choose not to purchase Travel Insurance with us, we would request that you supply us with details of your Insurer, to keep on file in the event of an emergency.
Complaints
Any dissatisfaction regarding your travel or holiday arrangements must be reported to the Principal or their local Supplier, Agent or Representative in resort, immediately. If you fail to follow this procedure, there will be less opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint. The amount of compensation you may be entitled to may be reduced or you may not receive any at all depending upon the circumstances.
